Here at Admiral Landings Designs, we believe in more than just beautiful fabrics and luxury lampshades. We're passionate about creating positive change, one stitch at a time. Our mission is two-fold: to be as close to zero-waste as possible in our production process, and to empower young women in need.
Transforming Scraps into Security
The design and fashion industries are notorious culprits for textile waste. Yards of beautiful fabric end up discarded after cutting patterns. We saw this as an opportunity, not a dead end. We collect every usable remnant, every leftover piece, and give it a new life. These vibrant fabric leftovers are transformed into charming, functional pouches – perfect for storing a young woman's most essential sanitary items. The reusable pouches themselves are a testament to our commitment to sustainability, by minimizing waste and reducing our environmental footprint. The vibrant designs add a touch of cheer, a reminder that even during difficult times, there is beauty and hope.
Addressing a Hidden Struggle
For homeless young girls and women, menstruation can be a source of immense stress and insecurity. Lack of access to basic hygiene products and the inability to store them discreetly can lead to feelings of shame and isolation.
Our pouches offer a discreet and secure solution. They're small enough to fit easily into a backpack or pocket, yet large enough to hold the necessary supplies. More importantly, these pouches are a symbol of dignity and care. They let young women know they're not alone, and that their well-being matters.
Our impact goes beyond the immediate. By providing young women with the resources they need to manage their period with dignity, we're helping them stay focused on education, job training, or whatever path they choose. Freedom from the anxieties around menstruation can empower them to reach their full potential.

We don't stop at creating pouches. We partner with local homeless shelters and women's organizations to distribute them directly to those in need. We also include informative resources about menstrual health and hygiene, empowering young women to take charge of their bodies.
