My journey into interior design began during my teenage years when I played a pivotal role in decorating my parents' home. Despite taking a backseat for some time, my love for design resurfaced during my teaching career, where I found joy in crafting vibrant classroom spaces for my students.

As life unfolded and I transitioned into motherhood, my dedication to my daughters remained paramount. However, it was during the process of building my own custom home with my husband, that my fascination with interior design reached new heights. My quest for distinctive and luxurious home accessories led me to discover the timeless elegance of pleated fabric lampshades - a beloved staple in the UK.

Faced with limited availability in the US, I saw an opportunity to bridge the gap. Thus, Admiral Landings Designs was born. My love for creating beautiful home decor has been a lifelong adventure. It all began when I was a teenager, watching my mom transform our house with the help of a "decorator," as we called them back then. Seeing how she brought her vision to life with the perfect placement of each piece sparked a passion within me.

Years later, this passion reignited as I designed my own home with my husband, and then again when my daughter, Ashlee, and her husband built theirs. In fact, it was on the island in Ashlee's new kitchen that Admiral Landings Designs was born!

Helping Ashlee find unique pieces for their new home was both thrilling and exhausting (in the best way possible!). We scoured surrounding cities, searching high and low for treasures to make their space truly special.

Through these experiences, I realized I have a natural talent for design, and more importantly, a deep joy in sharing it with others. I love creating one-of-a-kind lampshades that are not only meticulously handcrafted, but also perfectly suited to meet your specific needs.
